WCMGVA Documentary Wins Award

On March 9, 2015 Wisconsin Community Media announced the winners of its ” Best of the Midwest Video Fest Awards’ and we are pleased to announce that a feature on the WCMGVA, produced by Breanna Speth of Marshfield Community Television, was one of 71 Merit Award winners. The program featured an in-depth portrait of our organization detailing information on our training, educational focus, and service projects and included interviews with members and photos of projects.

“This is our third year as a Midwest regional video fest and we are continuing to grow. This year we received over 200 entries from 34 media centers in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, and North Dakota,”said Mary Cardona, executive director of Wisconsin Community Media. The awards were created to showcase great local programming and to provide feedback to producers from professionals in the field.

Congratulations to Breanna and all those involved in the program. Award winners will be honored at the Best of the Midwest Video Fest Banquet and Show in Milwaukee on April 30th.
